Marta Ríos is a designer and based in Rotterdam. Her work sits at the intersection between .


She recently from the Social Design master’s program at the Design Academy Eindhoven. Her graduation project, titled “A Designer Walks Into ”, it’s been successfully acclaimed by her grandmother Charito.


Her practice explores design as a form of comedy. In an environment where designers are conditioned to portray themselves as , Marta’s work questions this by shifting the viewer’s attention to the flaws in an object's making and its makers.


Marta’s current fascinations are kites, GIF’s and . She is also one half of design-critique-turned-design-comedy duo The Ironing Board.
