“What are they doing with all that pasta?” —I wondered staring at the shockingly empty shelves in the supermarket during the COVID lockdown in 2020 — "It's not humanly possible to eat all that spaghetti this fast".
Wondering what I would do in their position —having tons of spaghetti stored in my pantry—, I decided to re-make three of the pieces from Enzo Mari's Autoprogettazione (sedia, tavolo rettangolare and libreria), using only spaghetti number 11. Following the steps of Mari, I made everything open source by sharing all the blueprints online for free. This way people could easily reproduce the three pieces at their homes —finally giving a use to all the hoarded pasta.
